Tam's Little Gallery
Tam proudly displays and offers for sale original artwork by HO VIET PHUONG and NGUYEN TAN HIEN.
A tragic medical condition that partially paralyzed his arms and legs put an end to Phuong's architecture studies in Ho Chi Minh City. Phuong returned to his family home in Da Nang to continue his rehabilitation at the Spinal Cord Center here. Phuong now divides his time between developing his skills as an artist and participating in the activities of local disability associations.
Hien was a university student in the city of Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam, until the day a bus knocked him from his bicycle. He is now unable to walk and has only limited use of his hands and arms. Nevertheless, Hien pursues his dream of becoming a professional artist. He presently undergoes daily physical therapy at the Da Nang Rehabilitation-Sanatorium Hospital and serves as a volunteer counselor for other recently disabled people.
